I Like How Johnny Draws

I have been going to the school a lot this week to open house nights. Last night was Johnny’s class. I sat in his seat which was right up front surrounded by girls—perfect. On his desk was a list of his favorite things including a line that asked what he wanted to be when he grew up. I phonetically decoded the words Air Force and flipped the page to see this guy looking up at me. Johnny has been drawing these very detailed things lately from memory. The other day on his folder he drew a shark jumping out of the water and you would have thought he had to have had a picture right in front of him. I like it.
